How do you "live it down"?

"Lifestyle" is not only about living it up... but how you live it when you are down in the pits as well...and for many of us, that involves varying degrees of intoxication...

Sometimes you want to get really OMFG drunk and where better to go let loose than at clubs where you can divest your entire being to tequila shots, Lady Gaga and of course, the ego trip of being hit on by the opposite sex.

But other times, you may just want to relish, again and again, the slight burn of whiskey straight-up as it slides down your throat as you bare your melancholic soul to your closest friend in the whole wide world, "the entire world be damned" being your mantra for this solemn night...

Now, the question is: where is a good place to be to sulk?

I never believed in patronizing whiskey/ wine bars to sulk mainly because of (1) privacy concerns (2) its impersonal environment and (3) your inebriated woeful self still have to find a way to get home... which adds to the crappiness of things.

For one of my best friends and I (coincidentally, we are neighbours too), we usually bring a bottle of black label, some mixers, ice and glasses down to the swimming pool area so we can mix ourselves something that usually ends up overly-potent; we then sip our nasty concoction and then dwell and exaggerate on all the shitty things in life as we lay on our backs on those white plastic chaise longue (french for "long chair")... we talk for hours until realisation that our conversation is getting increasingly dumb hits us after which we pack up and lumber home to crash...

...and everything is fine and dandy (save for the slight migraine) by the next morning...

So readers, having shared how I "live it down", care to share yours as well?

(p.s. girls, never go clubbing with Jim... you don't want to find out why *winks*)

Love,
Gem
