Shoes of note #1

I sincerely believe that, one can never have too many shoes. But in all their forms and incarnations, aren't shoes really just things that keep our feet off the ground? No, not in this century they aren't. Today's shoes don't only serve the original purpose they were created for; they are a reflection of one's taste and status. Designers seemed to have readily embraced that notion, what with the crazy shoes they've created of late:

Nina Ricci Fall 2009
(Picture courtesy of Bryanboy)These gravity-defying shoes by Nina Ricci don't look like they were made for wearing. What was Daphne Guinness thinking before she put them on?
I think this is a work of art! Can you not see the concealed platform?

Alexander Mcqueen Spring 2010 (see: left)
The infamous 12 inch heels by British designer Alexander Mcqueen. They really are pretty to look at but i'm not so sure women would feel pretty wearing them. Heck i'm not even sure if they can feel anymore after putting these on.
The concealed platform! This is my favourite pair of the lot! "..i'm not so sure women would feel pretty wearing them" - are you serious? I would have to disagree with you on this one, Jim. Women would kill for this pair. I know I would.
Balenciaga Spring2010 (see: below)

These multi-coloured stripy platform ankle boots look the most comfortable. Balenciaga does it again with wearable high-fashion.
(Honestly, I don't quite get this peep-toe boots)

Hope you enjoyed the visual orgasm.
Till next time,
Jim

Visual orgasm indeed...
